Yes, The Otis at Fort Ben Apartments is a pet-friendly community. We happily welcome your furry companions! Please note that certain breed restrictions and pet fees may apply. We allow up to two pets per household. There is a $300 pet fee per pet and $35 pet rent per pet per month. While we do not impose a weight limit, breeds such as American Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Mastiffs, Akitas, Siberian Huskies, Presa Canario, Rottweilers, and Wolf Hybrids are prohibited. However, management reserves the right to prohibit other aggressive breeds not listed here at their discretion. Additionally, we utilize PetScreening for animal verification.

Yes, each apartment is equipped with either full-size stackable or side-by-side washer and dryer units, providing you with the ultimate convenience of doing your laundry from the comfort of your own home. Elevators are conveniently located in Building 2 & Building 3 for your convenience. Most furniture items fit in the elevator for moving purposes. However, for items that may not fit or for those who prefer to take the stairs, there are also two stairwells in each building.

As such, it’s important to note that utilities are not included in the rent. While the rent covers the base amount for your apartment, residents are responsible for paying for electricity directly to AES (or the local utility provider). This allows you to have control over your energy usage and ensures that you are only paying for the electricity you consume. In addition to electricity, residents will receive an itemized bill from The Otis for other essential services, including water, sewer, trash, and pest control. This billing system allows for fair and transparent distribution of utility costs among residents, ensuring that everyone pays their fair share based on usage.
